Due to construction works on the railway infrastructure managed by RFI, Mi.Co.Tra. services will be replaced by buses on the entire Udine ⇄ Villach Hbf route
from 21 August 2026 (starting with train 1823 from Villach) until and including train 1820 on 21 September 2026 from Udine Bus Station (the bus station is located almost opposite the railway station; cyclists must ride approximately 600 metres).
Two replacement bus routes will be available: a direct connection via the motorway (via Autostrada)
and a connection via the national road network (via strada statale).
Unless otherwise communicated by the infrastructure manager RFI, rail services will resume on 21 September 2026 with train 1821 departing from Tarvisio Boscoverde. The departure of this train may be delayed by a few minutes due to the simultaneous resumption of rail services on the Austrian network.
We apologize for the inconvenience and for any delays caused by road traffic conditions.
On 21 August, passengers may still take the trains departing from Udine at 07:14 and 17:15. After those departures, only replacement buses will be available.
On 21 September, train departures from Udine will only be available starting at 17:15.
