VIA BALDASSERIA MEDIA (Udine Sud Est)

Your journey will begin in the center of Grado along a short stretch of the regional road N. 352. Pay the utmost attention to motorized traffic in this first stretch within town, as it has narrow streets.
Next you will follow an old railway line, which is now a dedicated bike path that travels from Grado – Cervignano. It has good signage and is separate from the motorized road.

Upon arriving in the town of Cervignano, cyclists will use the urban roads to traverse the city.

The cycling route will begin again on the National Road No. 14 where you will leave Cervignano and head towards Palmanova. This stretch contains a mix between a bike path and local roads and will take you to the “Porta di Aquileia (Aquileia Door)”, one of the three gates to the walled city of Palmanova.

From here to Udine, cyclist will mostly travel on a large network of local roads. There are some tight roads, where the cyclist will be riding in close proximity to the cars. Give this stretch your full attention and in particular take caution crossings the main roads.

In Udine, cyclists will experience a path of both ordinary urban roads and an existing cycling road. The first day will end at the Via Baldasseria Media (in South east Udine).
